Anybody can dance

Human beings probably danced even before there was a word for it. Rhythmic bodily movement is instinctive. It connects people, even if unconsciously, to the rhythms of nature. Dance springs from a human desire for personal expression and social connection. and it feels good.

Perhaps dance is the way we express ourselves when words are insufficient. The joy we feel over new found love, the determination we have in the face of great sorrow or adversity, the passionate fire of our youth and the peacefulness of our softer and more graceful years – maybe they are never expressed more fully than through a waltz, or a tango, or a jive.

dance for physical fitness. We dance for mental clarity. We dance for emotional stability, and other such pluses.

Perhaps dance is the medium through which we show the world who we truly are and who we can be. All of us, if we are honest, believe deep down that we are not ordinary. We know ourselves to be wonderfully unique, with many layers of personality and talent woven in such a way that no one on earth could possibly have our same make-up. We know it. We just do not always know how to prove it.

The best part is… literally anyone can do it. With the right teachers, it’s fun and easy to do. Literally the hardest part is taking that first step… to pick up the phone, to schedule a lesson, to walk inside a dance studio. Once you take those first steps, then the dance steps are easy...

Lastly I want to conclude it by saying that anybody can dance.Just need to take first step and if you dance to stay fit or dance for fun its on you..

Anybody can dance...

Pandit Birju Maharaj

Here is one more dance role model of me..kathak dancer Birju Maharaj

He most eminent Kathak dancer of recent times is Pandit Birju Maharaj. He is the only son and disciple of Shri Achyan Maharaj and is a competent inheritor of the Lucknow Gharana. Birju Maharaj is a very talented and dignified personality. He is a born artist.

Born in the family of hereditary dancers, Birju Maharaj is the torch bearer of the famous family, Kalka-Bindadin Gharana of Lucknow, which has been serving the art of Kathak dance through century’s togather. Not only on India, he is familiarly known abroad, nearly all over the world.

He is a wonderful singer having command over, Thumri, Dadra, Bhajan and

He has given a new dimension to Kathak, by experimenting this technique in the application of dance-dramas, which has become very successful medium for mass propagation. As a choreographer he is the finest in the country today. His bold and intellectual compositions in traditional themes are brilliant, whereas his contemporary works are also refreshing in concept, crisp and entertaining.

Naache Mayuri

Mayuri was a movie based on the life of the great Bharatnatyam dancer and actress Sudha chandran. I heard her story when I was in high school which brought tears in my eyes and also learned that difficulties may come and go but how we learn from it and face it matters alot.

Chandran started her career with a
Telugu film Mayuri , which was based on her own life. The film was later dubbed in Tamil and Malayalam. It was also remade in Hindi as Naache Maayuri , where Chandran again played herself and co-starred with Shekhar Suman, Aruna Irani and Dina Pathak. She was awarded the 1986 Special Jury Award at the National Film Awards for her performance in Mayuri .

In May 1981, while travelling in Tamil Nadu, Chandran met with an accident in which her legs were wounded. She received initial medical treatment of her injuries at a local hospital and was later admitted to Vijaya Hospital at Madras. After doctors discovered that
gangrene had formed on her right leg, amputation was required. Chandran says that this period was the toughest time of her life. She subsequently overcame her disability with the help of a prosthetic Jaipur foot. [8] She returned to dancing after a gap of two years and performed in Europe, Canada and the Middle East. Her biography is part of curriculum for school children in the age group of 8-11.

If someone else was there on her place then the person will not dance after it but this lady really forget her pain for her passion. I respest her and she will be always my role model.

My God MJ

I never liked western dance before seeing Michael Jackson. Its truth that Im not perfect in western dance but its also true that i loved to watch michael jacksons video which completely mesmerised me by his moves.

He can never die, as he continues to live in all the dancers . While most pop stars got slotted either as dancers or singers, here was my hero who could sing and dance. He was a complete performer and he has been my biggest inspiration.

I know Im not only one fan of MJ but many people like me till today watch his videos and learn dance. He can sing also but most of the time I just watched him as a dancer. If you ask me now which song of Micheal Jackson is my favourite I would not able to tell you anything because i always focused on his dancing and try to copy it. That doesnot mean that he is bad singer.

My friend and me also created a book on which i stick some picture of my god and also wrote about his life on it.
